While Redken offers product lines to address any hair need, this post will be covering their Acidic Color Gloss line.
The Acidic Color Gloss line is intended to extend and maintain professional permanent color, glosses, and toners. With acidic pH formulas to help seal the cuticle, this professional hair care system is best for color-treated hair lacking shine and vibrancy, or for those looking to maintain what they've got! The Acidic Color Gloss line consists of four products: shampoo, conditioner, activated glass gloss treatment, and a heat-protectant leave-in. While these each work beautifully on their own, when used together they work in harmony for smooth, glassy, and vibrant hair. These products all smell amazing and are sustainably created with vegan ingredients, so they’re truly a great choice for all.
THE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER
This sulfate-free duo provides long-lasting color vibrancy for up to 32 washes and locks in salon-like shine, even with at-home use. While intended for color treated hair, with ingredients such as Vitamin E and soybean oil, you are guaranteed a smooth cuticle and immediate results even on virgin hair. The shampoo is cleansing, yet gentle enough for routine use, and the conditioner is non-greasy, even for those with finer hair that is prone to oiliness.
ACTIVATED GLASS GLOSS TREATMENT
This is an at-home professional strength glossing treatment that deeply conditions and adds intense shine for color-treated hair. With a pH-balanced formula of Citric Acid and Apricot Oil, this will help seal the cuticle, control frizz, and lock in glass-like shine for up to 3 days at a time. This is ideal to be used once a week. For use, shampoo first and then apply your gloss treatment to your mids and ends. After 5 minutes, layer on Acidic Color Gloss conditioner and let that all melt together for 1-3 minutes before your final rinse.
HEAT PROTECTION LEAVE-IN TREATMENT
The Heat Protection Leave-In Treatment Spray is the last step of the line and is what ties it all together. A must have for color-treated hair, it's essential in helping to seal in color, promote hydration and prevent heat damage. This leave-in spray offers Invisible Shield Technology for up to 450°F heat protection and shine. To use, spray on damp hair liberally and then blow dry or allow it to air dry.
